I have a lot of people around me, but it can be kind of lonely as the only American working in this office. I love my job, but I sometimes miss following sports and talking to American girls. It's nice to stay in touch with e-mail , but it's much more satisfying to send and receive flowers as a gesture of effort to stay in touch. The funeral for my uncle Saul was done during a week after the burial. I didn’t know this at the time, when I ordered the flowers. I found out too late, and I tried to think of every excuse I could to get those flower arrangements out of there at some point because I knew they would be, shall we say, not quite so fresh. But much to my amazement, they lasted the entire week. Even after the end of the week, my aunt took one of the white roses and put it in a vase before they removed the funeral arrangements. I had screwed up every anniversary gift since we were married. Last year, I got my wife what she asked for... in the wrong size. That was a disaster. It's much easier to be able to order flowers when the mood strikes, from a reputable retailer like yourself, than it is to make a conscious effort to go down to a florist in a shop and order something from them.
