On behalf of several members of my family, let me say WOW! On behalf of me, let me say, DOUBLE WOW! They were all impressed with the quality of the flowers -- their color and longevity. That's what I wasn't quite prepared for. I got the thank you calls for when the flowers arrived, but I also got calls weeks later about how long the flowers were lasting. I have a lot of people around me, but it can be kind of lonely as the only American working in this office. I love my job, but I sometimes miss following sports and talking to American girls. It's nice to stay in touch with e-mail , but it's much more satisfying to send and receive flowers as a gesture of effort to stay in touch. Not everyone could attend my graduation from college, but many of them sent their regards. Like my uncle Roland, who I had not seen in many years. I visited my father in the hospital this morning and was stunned to see that my flowers had arrived before I had. I know I had asked them to be delivered in the early morning, but really! My great-grandmother’s funeral was much more sober than any other funeral I’ve been to (to many of them), and I couldn’t figure out why. Finally, it dawned on me, the flowers were wholly inappropriate for the setting. They were the whole color, the wrong style, and too ostentatious for the scene. I found out that the person in our family who normally orders the flowers (from you) had asked someone else to do it this time, and he ordered from someone else.
