I have a lot of people around me, but it can be kind of lonely as the only American working in this office. I love my job, but I sometimes miss following sports and talking to American girls. The whole wedding party just about broke down in tears when the bride walked in with her swanlike bouquet of long-stemmed white roses. I hope that doesn't sound flip. If there's a better way to get a woman to be initially impressed with you than flowers, I'd love to see it, because it would knock my socks off. I think men have a problem seeing this. I have heard a number of men say something to the effect of "They're just flowers, they don't do anything and they'll die too soon." I'd like to correct any misinterpretation that every man out there may have about sending flowers. These are not valid reasons for not giving flowers. I don't get it.
