How great was Mother's Day this year? I sent two, count 'em, two sets of roses to my mother this time. Once on the week before to announce my arrival, and once to arrive on Saturday at my hotel so I could bring them over. I was dead set against the frivolity of having flowers at my father’s funeral. He detested frivolous things of any kind. But I must say that your flowers my wife chose for the funeral did add a certain amount of warmth to the service. I don’t know if I can explain it any better than that.
