Is there a better way to celebrate Valentine's Day than with flowers? It's the quintessential red roses day, and I send them out to my girlfriend every year. Sadly it is not the same girlfriend every year, but maybe if I start to remember their birthdays it would make it easier. Valentine's Day is much easier to remember. It's always on the same day. We weren't able to see the flower arrangements we sent for our daughter's graduation from law school in person, but it was with great pride that we received the images over e-mail and saw how happy she was, with her friends and the family that was there. Both my husband and I were awfully broken up by the end of the day, even though we couldn't be there. I am proud of her and proud of the way she represents our family. My fiancee and his friends, for some odd reason, decided to take a cross-country trip to California and back. Just to remind him why he's coming back, I decided to send flowers to him at each of their stops along the way. I sent a total of eight bouquets of yellow flowers, four over and four back. I know it completely embarrassed him in front of his friends, but I figured if he was able to withstand them for that amount of time in that situation, he was the right guy. He was the right guy.
