Flowers make a birthday party, it's such a shame not everyone uses them for such occasions. This is a strange story, I know, but I had to get flowers not just to an address, but to a specific location within that address. Worst of all, it wasn't marked anywhere. My cousin is a stand-up comedian, and the flowers for him were for his first steady gig in L.A. They had to be right off-stage behind the curtain so as he came off, the flowers would be presented to him in his hands. My God, I can't believe they were there at just the right time. I was nervous as a cockroach at a tap-dance contest, but everything worked out OK. With the actual number of florists on the Internet it's difficult to choose who to go with to order from first. But you know, it isn't all to difficult to choose the second time you order something. Those that don't provide good enough services or products get left behind. You should know that I consider you the cream of the crop in this regard. Who invented Valentine's Day? He must have been some kind of genius. It's right in the middle of winter when we're all busy trying to keep the winter chill out of the house. I think it's because it's one day where we can forget about things like de-icing the driveway and block heaters and shoveling the sidewalk. Though I am far away from my friends, it's nice to know that I can let them know I am thinking about them in a time of sadness and loss. Flowers are so much more tactile and have more substance than cards or electronic messages, like they are stand-ins for you.
