My father died after a long bout with cancer. I wasn’t in the right frame of mind to make any sort of arrangements, so my husband did most of them. Looking back, I could see that he was upset also, and he’s not exactly the arbiter of taste that he thinks he is when he’s in the right frame of mind. OK. I have to tell someone about this. I was in the running for a good job at a reputable company. After a series of interviews that went OK but not spectacular, the recruiter told me I was a finalist out of five people. I’ve never done this before, but my mother told me to send flowers. I thought, what the heck? So I did. I skiffed over to your site and sent everyone who interviewed me a small bouquet as a thank you. About a week later, I got the job.
