I know you can't see it, but there's a big smile on my face because I finally got my father to break his long silence to my brother. They haven't seen eye to eye for years and have spoken in at least that long. I was able to get them together for my birthday, and the way I convinced them to come was to send each of them a note from me along with bouquets of flowers. It was the last thing I could think of to do, because these are not normally two men who would be affected by flowers. Though I am far away from my friends, it's nice to know that I can let them know I am thinking about them in a time of sadness and loss. Flowers are so much more tactile and have more substance than cards or electronic messages, like they are stand-ins for you. It's something they can move around and focus on in order to get the kind of feeling that I hope I would provide were I there. I'm glad that you can help me express my sympathy for the family in this way and that I can do it much more easily than if I were to go there myself. Your flowers were a hit! I got several baskets as centerpieces for a Thanksgiving themed office party. Many important clients were invited during the short week before Thanksgiving to partake of our good cheer. They helped set the tone for the party and spread the good feeling amongst them all. I didn't think it would make all that much difference, but I saw the setup before the flowers arrived, and then again after they arrived. If there was one thing I would suggest that you change it's the pictures on your website. You need more vivid colors and more impressive foliage. The truly fantastic flowers that my parents get from you (from me) aren't really represented by the pictures on your website.
