If there's a better way to get a woman to be initially impressed with you than flowers, I'd love to see it, because it would knock my socks off. I think men have a problem seeing this. I have heard a number of men say something to the effect of "They're just flowers, they don't do anything and they'll die too soon." Your flowers were just the pick me up that my sister-in-law needed. She's undergoing chemotherapy for cancer and there is a lot of time spent just trying to get through.
