This may sound a little silly, but I hope it doesn't. My best friend's cat died over the weekend, and I couldn't think of anything to do for her being so far away with work and all. I was a doubter at first, but all my doubts were dispelled this last Christmas, when I hesitantly made a huge order (over $1000) of flower displays, arrangements, and bouquets for the company Christmas party. It's a small company, so I wasn't sure if it would just add to the frivolity of the occasion or if it would be worth it in terms of employee cohesion. Well, it turned out to be both. For the first time in nine years, we did not have any turnover the first six months of the year following the Christmas party.
