Every year, I've sent my wife roses for Valentine's Day. This year, I decided to do send something different. You know, just because. I still sent all red flowers, but just not roses. I knew she would like them, but I didn't know she would be so thrilled with them. She said it showed that I didn't do things on autopilot, that I actually thought about the present. Who knew? Not everyone could attend my graduation from college, but many of them sent their regards. Like my uncle Roland, who I had not seen in many years. He sent some of your flowers to me, and I was very touched. One thing I wondered was why the flowers he sent looked so much more impressive than the flowers of other places. Is there some kind of large population of patient souls where you get your customer service people from? Do they also babysit for a trio of tiny terrors (ages: 3, 6, & 8)? I must have been on the phone with this person (I forget her name, sorry!) for at least a half an hour trying to order a simple flower arrangement and I have to chase around my terrors (I mean: lovely children) at the same time. I'm very gratified that one of the first thing my godson saw is the basket of flowers that I sent to the hospital. His mother is one of my best friends in the world and I couldn't be happier. I don't think it's entirely fair that all my friends and family get to see the lovely flowers that I order from you, and I get to see bupkus. Not even a lousy picture. Sheesh, you'd think someone would take the hint and at least send me something.
