Good gracious! Just about everything went wrong with my sister's wedding. It was her third marriage, and I don't know what she was expecting mixing her dogs in the ceremony with the swans in a makeshift pool. It might have been funnier if I wasn't trying to hold it all together. Maybe I'll laugh about it someday. Mother's Day was a surprisingly nice affair, with my white roses gleaming in the sunlight on my mother's antique sewing table in the solarium. My fiancee and his friends, for some odd reason, decided to take a cross-country trip to California and back.
