This may sound a little silly, but I hope it doesn't. My best friend's cat died over the weekend, and I couldn't think of anything to do for her being so far away with work and all. The best thing I could think of was to send a nice sympathy bouquet. I know how close she was to that cat, and I didn't really know how to say that in words. So I let the flowers do the talking, just to let her know that I was there for her. She did eventually share her feelings with me, and I'm glad I could help. I wanted to tell you that the orchids I sent my mother in the hospital really lifted her spirits. She was thrilled to see them because she has orchids at home that she hasn't seen in almost a month. We were so distraught that we left most of the arrangements to my brother. He had the good sense to order the flower stands from you. which I never would have thought made a difference. My brother has never been one to display heartfelt emotion, but I felt it when those flowers were next to my son’s civilian coffin at the funeral home. I was in the USA recently, and I discovered the tradition of Thanksgiving. It's such a wonderful time to take the summer and autumn harvest and put it to good use for family that visits. I was interested to see how my American friends celebrated, and from what I understand, there is a turkey and potatoes and that's about what the similarities are between families. I like the idea of having a major holiday before Christmas that kind of celebrates autumn and all its colors. I was also impressed with the flowers. I understand that not everyone includes flowers as part of the holiday, but if my friends are any indication, everyone should have flowers. The flowers I sent to my son and daughter-in-law for a congratulations on purchasing a new house actually got there. I mistakenly sent them to the new house address without thinking about escrow and even move-in time. I couldn't be there in person because I'm overseas, so I had to suffer through a night of thinking, "what did I forget?"
