I don't know what I was thinking. I like to wander around when I go shopping, and the other day I happened into a florist, who had a special on a spring arrangement of irises and tulips. Though I often use your services for flower delivery, I was taken in by the price, and I sent some to my friend in Vancouver because she's going through a rough time right now. Well, I think you spoiled me for flowers, because I got a call from her when they arrived. She's didn't say anything bad about it, but I could tell from the tone in her voice that they weren't exactly glowing with radiance. Hmmmm, I thought. About a month later, things were still bad for her, so I decided to use you to send them (because I happened to be at home when I thought of it). The results were telling. She went on and on about how your flowers were so much better than the previous ones. She thought it could have been the time of year that accounted for the difference, but I knew better. I have dealt with certain delivery companies before who could not handle a slight discrepancy in the address with any smarts at all. It seems like if two numbers in a zipcode are transposed, it stops them in their tracks and they delay a couple days and charge you half again as much. I admit that I sometimes get zipcodes wrong. My memory isn’t what it used to be. But someone over there recognized the mistake I made on a flower delivery and it didn’t slow them down a whit. I wish I knew who it was, because I would thank them from an old woman, so I’m saying thank you to you for possibly training your flower delivery people that way.(Bonita R., Houma LA )

For anyone who has a girlfriend in another part of the country, I have three little words of advice: FTD. There's one thing I've found about sending flowers. It has to be the right ones at the right time. There is a general understanding about what kinds of flowers mean what, so when I send red roses, I want it to mean love, and when I send white roses, I want it to mean friendship. When I send mixed colors... I'm not quite sure what that means yet, but I'll get it eventually. My point here is that I am grateful you get everything, every order right. There was one time when I meant to send white roses and the place sent red. I mean, is that right? To this I say NO. You should know that your efforts are appreciated. Who invented Valentine's Day? He must have been some kind of genius. It's right in the middle of winter when we're all busy trying to keep the winter chill out of the house.
