Flowers are so much more tactile and have more substance than cards or electronic messages, like they are stand-ins for you. The way my family celebrates Christmas, you would think it was Festivus. My dad always tries to challenge someone to wrestle and we have a tinsel lined pole in the back yard that I used to practice tetherball on.
