There are very few non-Saudis left in this city, but there are some. But still, it's amazing that I can send actual florist type flowers to my husband back home. I never would have guessed that one small gift of a houseplant would make such a difference in our relationship. The first time I ever received roses, I was still in high school. It was exciting and frightening all at the same time to get them from a boy.
