I know you can't see it, but there's a big smile on my face because I finally got my father to break his long silence to my brother. They haven't seen eye to eye for years and have spoken in at least that long. My fiancee and his friends, for some odd reason, decided to take a cross-country trip to California and back. My great-grandmother’s funeral was much more sober than any other funeral I’ve been to (to many of them), and I couldn’t figure out why. My mother visited for a short time last spring, and she noticed something completely new, for her anyway.
