I was in the USA recently, and I discovered the tradition of Thanksgiving. It's such a wonderful time to take the summer and autumn harvest and put it to good use for family that visits. I was interested to see how my American friends celebrated, and from what I understand, there is a turkey and potatoes and that's about what the similarities are between families. I like the idea of having a major holiday before Christmas that kind of celebrates autumn and all its colors. I was also impressed with the flowers. I understand that not everyone includes flowers as part of the holiday, but if my friends are any indication, everyone should have flowers. I’m with the Guard in Iraq. I couldn’t be there on our anniversary, so when I sent flowers, I wanted to get it right. And you people got it right. I don't think it's entirely fair that all my friends and family get to see the lovely flowers that I order from you, and I get to see bupkus. Not even a lousy picture. I was dead set against the frivolity of having flowers at my father’s funeral. He detested frivolous things of any kind. I don’t know if you know how hard it is to find a consistently good florist. Back in the 1980s, there was a flower delivery service associated with a department store that has since been swallowed up by a larger company. I think that flower delivery company was the only one that could match yours in terms of quality, price, and promptness. Of course, they’re gone now, but you’re still here. I'm going through some hard times at this part of my life. But I do not lose faith. If you lose faith, you're giving up, you're telling God that you just can't handle what He's handing you. My family was killed in a house fire a year ago to right now. I decided to commemorate this as a celebration of their lives and how their lives affected mine. My friends, family all came down for it, and I ordered what I consider to be the best flowers in the world -- not for myself, although I will enjoy them, but for my family.
