I was dead set against the frivolity of having flowers at my father’s funeral. He detested frivolous things of any kind. I've been giving my girlfriend chocolate for the past three years for Valentine's Day. Now she's on a low-carb diet, and I'm not sure how I can give her candy when she's not supposed to be eating it.
