After an extended stay in the States, I am prepared to say that I like China better. This is not to say that I would not enjoy a life over there. I never would have guessed that one small gift of a houseplant would make such a difference in our relationship. I would never have thought to send flowers to my brother to congratulate him on getting a new job. Before I sent him flowers, I wouldn't have suspected that he liked getting them.
