It seems strange to me that here in the tropics it can be trouble to find some kinds of flowers. But it's just like up there in the US with tropical flowers. Sometimes you need cold weather to grow some of these varieties of roses and asters. It's interesting the differences that climate makes. The flowers I sent to my son and daughter-in-law for a congratulations on purchasing a new house actually got there. I mistakenly sent them to the new house address without thinking about escrow and even move-in time. I couldn't be there in person because I'm overseas, so I had to suffer through a night of thinking, "what did I forget?" It didn't hit me until my son called to say they were very appreciative of the flowers I sent. It was then that I remembered giving the wrong address on the form, and I became more confused because they actually got delivered to the right place. I'm bursting with pride at my kids being able to afford houses and I'm also red in the face because I can't even figure out where they are now! The way my family celebrates Christmas, you would think it was Festivus. My dad always tries to challenge someone to wrestle and we have a tinsel lined pole in the back yard that I used to practice tetherball on. I don't know if my parents have developed a sense of humor or we're all really warped. I'm glad I was able to bring some semblance of normalcy into Christmas, though, with the flowers that I sent ahead of time. I’m used to buying flowers at a store. Usually I get them at a grocery store or a drugstore. I thought I’d try and order some online just for myself at first. How great was Mother's Day this year? I sent two, count 'em, two sets of roses to my mother this time.
