Flowers make a birthday party, it's such a shame not everyone uses them for such occasions. The flowers I sent to my mother arrived, and I was told they were quite amazing. Apparently much better than the flowers that my holier-than-thou brother sent to her (her words). I don't resent in the fact that my mother likes him better than me, but it does make it easier to feel really good that I outdid him. If there's a better way to get a woman to be initially impressed with you than flowers, I'd love to see it, because it would knock my socks off. I think men have a problem seeing this. I have heard a number of men say something to the effect of "They're just flowers, they don't do anything and they'll die too soon." I'd like to correct any misinterpretation that every man out there may have about sending flowers. These are not valid reasons for not giving flowers. I don't get it. There are very few non-Saudis left in this city, but there are some. But still, it's amazing that I can send actual florist type flowers to my husband back home. I don't get around as much as I used to. Let me explain. I am now in a wheelchair because of a degenerative disease.
