I decided to be audacious this year and send my boyfriend, who is in Peru with his family for the moment, a series of flower bouquets. One a day for a week until his birthday. Well, I think you spoiled me for flowers, because I got a call from her when they arrived. She's didn't say anything bad about it, but I could tell from the tone in her voice that they weren't exactly glowing with radiance. Hmmmm, I thought.
