Valentine's Day is one of those days where if you have someone to send flowers to, you're happy, but if you don't then you aren't. Is there a worse holiday to miss than Mother's Day? I sailed right over it last year, and I suddenly noticed a palpable sheet of ice in my mother's voice over the phone ever since then.
