Every year, I've sent my wife roses for Valentine's Day. This year, I decided to do send something different. You know, just because. I still sent all red flowers, but just not roses. I knew she would like them, but I didn't know she would be so thrilled with them. She said it showed that I didn't do things on autopilot, that I actually thought about the present. Who knew? This may sound a little silly, but I hope it doesn't. My best friend's cat died over the weekend, and I couldn't think of anything to do for her being so far away with work and all. The best thing I could think of was to send a nice sympathy bouquet. I know how close she was to that cat, and I didn't really know how to say that in words. Sometimes it seems like my children have all left me for their better lives in other places. At least they find time to let me know they are doing OK. I have been receiving flowers on my birthday and the American Mother's Day for several years. That is a nice custom I think. I noticed of late that the flowers that are coming seem brighter and cheerier, and I ask my children what's changed all of a sudden? They tell me they are using this new website. I have to complain a little bit. The picture on your website did not do the flower arrangement justice, and it looked like I spent more on my step-mother's Mother's Day present than on my mother's present.
