Valentine's Day this year was very special. I asked my boyfriend to marry me, and after the initial shock, he said yes. I ordered several rose sprays to be delivered to his office, his apartment, and his mother's house. Then he knew something was up, and I popped him with the question. The wonder of flowers! My neighbor and I had been feuding for months, ever since my sycamore allegedly dropped all of its leaves onto their vegetable garden. It escalated from there, and one point the common fence was on fire. (Don't ask.) Anyway, my wife of all people, sent them flowers and then boom, it was over. The first time I ever received roses, I was still in high school. It was exciting and frightening all at the same time to get them from a boy. You know, I still get that same little twinge when my husband brings or sends me flowers. Don't take this the wrong way, but where he gets them from doesn't matter much to me.
