My best day this year was seeing the look on my five-year-old's face when she saw the giant package of flowers that my father sent to her on her first day of kindergarten. My mother visited for a short time last spring, and she noticed something completely new, for her anyway. I don't believe what just happened. I sent flowers to my sister, who was on a business trip across the country. She e-mailed me that she won a big account, so I sent her a congratulations present. I have dealt with certain delivery companies before who could not handle a slight discrepancy in the address with any smarts at all. It seems like if two numbers in a zipcode are transposed, it stops them in their tracks and they delay a couple days and charge you half again as much. I admit that I sometimes get zipcodes wrong. My memory isn’t what it used to be. But someone over there recognized the mistake I made on a flower delivery and it didn’t slow them down a whit. There's a very good reason you were recommended to me by a good friend. There's also a reason that she's a good friend. I have even more respect for her now for steering me in your direction. I can't remember the last time a gift was delivered so smoothly. Maybe it's the fact that it doesn't need to be wrapped in order to feel like a gift.
