I was dead set against the frivolity of having flowers at my father’s funeral. He detested frivolous things of any kind. After an extended stay in the States, I am prepared to say that I like China better. This is not to say that I would not enjoy a life over there. The wonder of flowers! My neighbor and I had been feuding for months, ever since my sycamore allegedly dropped all of its leaves onto their vegetable garden.
