There's something about giving flowers that makes it worthwhile to be friends with people. That sounded strange. But I guess in a way it's true. I was struck by this sentiment when I looked at how your website was organized. There are many different types of arrangements and many different arrangements within those types. It got me to thinking about how people react to flowers and how they react to the people who send them. I think you've tapped into something here, about how people react to flowers and in what context they receive them probably affects how they are received. My sister went into labor at 3:00 on Tuesday. I got the news and ordered flowers to be sent to her recovery room. My status as a second daughter in my family means that I am usually the left out one. I’m forced into the kitchen with my mother and aunties even though I have no idea how to cook. The “broken heart” flower stand arrangement was just perfect for my brother’s funeral. He died after a long, lingering illness, so it wasn’t a shock, but we wanted to think of it as an end to his suffering. Good gracious! Just about everything went wrong with my sister's wedding. It was her third marriage, and I don't know what she was expecting mixing her dogs in the ceremony with the swans in a makeshift pool. It might have been funnier if I wasn't trying to hold it all together. Maybe I'll laugh about it someday.
