I was dead set against the frivolity of having flowers at my father’s funeral. He detested frivolous things of any kind. But I must say that your flowers my wife chose for the funeral did add a certain amount of warmth to the service. I don’t know if I can explain it any better than that. There's one thing I've found about sending flowers. It has to be the right ones at the right time. There is a general understanding about what kinds of flowers mean what, so when I send red roses, I want it to mean love, and when I send white roses, I want it to mean friendship. When I send mixed colors... I'm not quite sure what that means yet, but I'll get it eventually. My point here is that I am grateful you get everything, every order right. There was one time when I meant to send white roses and the place sent red. I mean, is that right? To this I say NO. You should know that your efforts are appreciated. I’m with the Guard in Iraq. I couldn’t be there on our anniversary, so when I sent flowers, I wanted to get it right. And you people got it right.
