After an extended stay in the States, I am prepared to say that I like China better. This is not to say that I would not enjoy a life over there. I think my wife and I could enjoy a life together just about anywhere. But I have to say that I prefer my home country. I have made many friends and learned about many things that I can use now that I am back at home and teaching. One of the things I learned was how to use your website to send good-will gifts, like flowers and plants that people keep in their homes for a time. We weren't able to see the flower arrangements we sent for our daughter's graduation from law school in person, but it was with great pride that we received the images over e-mail and saw how happy she was, with her friends and the family that was there. The hospital is not a fun place to be over the Holidays. I know, because I lived through it once. My dad spent last Christmas in hospital recovering from bypass surgery. So I wanted to send something to let him know we were all thinking of him. I wish I could have been there, but we're scattered throughout the world and we never really see each other during the holidays because traveling is so frightful nowadays. More often than not we see each other in the spring, celebrating nothing in particular, because it's much more bearable. I apologize if this sounds like my life story. All I really wanted to point out was that I thought the floral arrangement I send turned out wonderful. The whole wedding party just about broke down in tears when the bride walked in with her swanlike bouquet of long-stemmed white roses. I hope that doesn't sound flip. I always thought a bouquet in a wedding was gardening flowers - daisies, maybe wild roses, dahlias, you know, like that. But all roses? I never would have ordered them if it was up to me, but she really wanted them. I wouldn't have though of it, but they were really spectacular. There's one thing I've found about sending flowers. It has to be the right ones at the right time. There is a general understanding about what kinds of flowers mean what, so when I send red roses, I want it to mean love, and when I send white roses, I want it to mean friendship. When I send mixed colors... I'm not quite sure what that means yet, but I'll get it eventually. My point here is that I am grateful you get everything, every order right.
