Thank you for getting the flowers to the right place at the right time. My cousin told me that some flowers went to the house, and some went to the funeral home, and one went to the hospital, even after my uncle had died. My father died after a long bout with cancer. I wasn’t in the right frame of mind to make any sort of arrangements, so my husband did most of them. Looking back, I could see that he was upset also, and he’s not exactly the arbiter of taste that he thinks he is when he’s in the right frame of mind. My father hates everything. Since my mother died ten years ago, he's been a terrible grump. I think it was hard on him more than anyone else.
