I was first attracted to your site because of your descriptions of the flower meanings. I’m in the flower trade (OK, I’m a delivery guy), and I didn’t know half the stuff that was on there. I don’t know who else to tell, so I’ll tell you. Our son was killed in Iraq this past year. The conflicting emotions I feel about this are unbearable. We were so distraught that we left most of the arrangements to my brother. He had the good sense to order the flower stands from you. which I never would have thought made a difference. My brother has never been one to display heartfelt emotion, but I felt it when those flowers were next to my son’s civilian coffin at the funeral home. My father hates everything. Since my mother died ten years ago, he's been a terrible grump. I think it was hard on him more than anyone else. I decided to be audacious this year and send my boyfriend, who is in Peru with his family for the moment, a series of flower bouquets. One a day for a week until his birthday.
