I want to express my gratitude for your excellent service and delivery. The date of my aunt and uncle's funeral was changed several times and I had to call you several times in order to change the delivery date. At each change, I was assured it was not a problem, and guess what? It wasn't a problem. It would be wonderful if we all got the wedding of our dreams, but alas, where I wanted to married at the botanical gardens, my father's budget dictated that we get married at the Elks Lodge. I'm not complaining, really. In fact, it worked out perfectly and everything went off without a hitch -- so I've been told. I understand you folks did the flowers and I wanted to tell you how well they all went over. I've been to weddings, and the flowers all seem to be in the background because they're so expected. Well, your flowers were just lovely enough to be a part of the whole scene and also understated enough not to overwhelm everyone. I don't think it's entirely fair that all my friends and family get to see the lovely flowers that I order from you, and I get to see bupkus. Not even a lousy picture. Sheesh, you'd think someone would take the hint and at least send me something. I hear from them about how wonderful and lovely my gifts are by calling me and sending me e-mails, but do they take a picture, or better yet, send me flowers back? I'd like to think that I was making my daughter happy when I sent flowers to her on her first day at college, but I really suspected that she was embarrassed by her mother in front of her dorm-mates. It was a little of both, I guess. Just for the record, my father really likes your plants that I've been sending him. The old codger will never admit it, but he appreciates the way they brighten up his dark, dank three-room cabin in the mountains. I wanted to tell you that the orchids I sent my mother in the hospital really lifted her spirits. She was thrilled to see them because she has orchids at home that she hasn't seen in almost a month. They couldn't be moved, but I wanted to give her something that reminded her of home. They were delivered in the morning, and I was able to visit her in the early evening.
