My great-grandmother’s funeral was much more sober than any other funeral I’ve been to (to many of them), and I couldn’t figure out why. Finally, it dawned on me, the flowers were wholly inappropriate for the setting. They were the whole color, the wrong style, and too ostentatious for the scene. I found out that the person in our family who normally orders the flowers (from you) had asked someone else to do it this time, and he ordered from someone else. Valentine's Day has special significance in our house because it was the day that we closed escrow six years ago. It was a very trying time, trying to sell a house and buy a house at the same time.
