I see my aunt Dierdre maybe once a year because she lives in Pennsylvania, but I always get the same greeting about how I sent a nice little vase of lilies to her for her 25th anniversary. I wish someone had told me about you earlier. I don’t like talking about this, but the flowers at my grandmother’s funeral last year were unnecessarily gaudy. She didn’t like a big show, and I always thought she would have disapproved of them. Unfortunately, my mother died this year.
