Though I am far away from my friends, it's nice to know that I can let them know I am thinking about them in a time of sadness and loss. Flowers are so much more tactile and have more substance than cards or electronic messages, like they are stand-ins for you. It's something they can move around and focus on in order to get the kind of feeling that I hope I would provide were I there. The way my family celebrates Christmas, you would think it was Festivus. I've often found myself only using FTD for sending flowers just because they seem to be very reputable, and I've never had any problems.
