Valentine's Day this year was very special. I asked my boyfriend to marry me, and after the initial shock, he said yes. Thanks for being a part of our family hannukkah celebration. Though my father doesn't allow flowers at the table for it, they were all over the living room, courtesy of my mother. My father died after a long bout with cancer. I wasn’t in the right frame of mind to make any sort of arrangements, so my husband did most of them. Looking back, I could see that he was upset also, and he’s not exactly the arbiter of taste that he thinks he is when he’s in the right frame of mind.
