I have a long list of people that I like to give stuff to, and it's the best way to keep stay connected with my friends from high school. You can e-mail and message people, but that's just words a lot of times. There are very few non-Saudis left in this city, but there are some. But still, it's amazing that I can send actual florist type flowers to my husband back home. I have to find good reasons to stay here every day, but there's a lot to be done, so I feel like it's my calling. I hope the flowers I send helps to make the space between us a little smaller. I never would have guessed that one small gift of a houseplant would make such a difference in our relationship.
