There's one thing I've found about sending flowers. It has to be the right ones at the right time. There is a general understanding about what kinds of flowers mean what, so when I send red roses, I want it to mean love, and when I send white roses, I want it to mean friendship. When I send mixed colors... I'm not quite sure what that means yet, but I'll get it eventually. My point here is that I am grateful you get everything, every order right. After an extended stay in the States, I am prepared to say that I like China better. This is not to say that I would not enjoy a life over there. My status as a second daughter in my family means that I am usually the left out one. I’m forced into the kitchen with my mother and aunties even though I have no idea how to cook. The whole wedding party just about broke down in tears when the bride walked in with her swanlike bouquet of long-stemmed white roses. I hope that doesn't sound flip. I always thought a bouquet in a wedding was gardening flowers - daisies, maybe wild roses, dahlias, you know, like that. But all roses?
