Little did I know she checked out early and was already back home! My mother visited for a short time last spring, and she noticed something completely new, for her anyway. She noticed that there was this celebration called Mother's Day that everyone takes so seriously. Though I am far away from my friends, it's nice to know that I can let them know I am thinking about them in a time of sadness and loss. Sometimes it seems like my children have all left me for their better lives in other places. At least they find time to let me know they are doing OK.
